Tokyo National Museum

Didn't get a chance to see any Japanese art... they had 2 special exhibitions on ancient Chinese art and the Maori people in New Zealand. Oh well, have another 2 months to go back and see the Japanese stuff...
The building and the garden was awesome...

Not as breathtaking as the Bellagio fountain in vegas, and shame there was no music...

Cute tree?

Ginza

Another great shopping destination! Full of elegant and exclusive designer boutiques and department stalls. The Sony centre was amazing and gave me insight into the latest gadgets and technology. I visited the Mitsukoshi Department Store.... I like the fashion here in Tokyo (apart from the price)... the store contained 2 floors with food, and I spent over 2 hours trying to decide what to have for dinner!

The Fuji (Fujiya) building.

The Wako building is another department store.

Asakusa

Another great temple... the street leading to the temple was lined with stores selling food, ornaments and gifts. I arrived with an empty stomach, and by the time I reached the temple, I was no longer hungry! I had octupus, crackers, and ice cream in pancakes... it was delicious!

Kaminarimon Gate, the main entrance to the Asakusa Kannon Temple.

Wafting incense from the burner outside Asakusa Kannon temple. It was a very cold day... there were many people surrounding the burner using it to keep warm...

Another 5-storey pagoda outside the temple.

A picture on the ceiling in the temple.

Plastic food in the shop display.

Theres so much variety here and food is so cheap, that I've been eating loads! I can have a 3 course meal for £5! I've eaten so much food here... I feel like I will burst out of my shirts and dresses.

Roppongi!!!

Lots of bars and clubs in this area, and a massive shopping mall - Roppongi Hills! All the designer boutiques, which erm... I still can't afford, but nice to look and dream...

Spider thing - statue outside Roppongi Hill Mall.

The architect in the mall was awesome!! The mall had over 200 shops...

Doesn't this remind you of the Eiffel Tower on a smaller scale?

Ueno Park

My favourite place! Got very excited when I saw the Polar Bears at the zoo!!! Spent the whole day here and didn't get bored. There was so much to see. Will be going back soon.... and yes there was another temple here to visit...

A man and his dog... Saigo Takamori who supported the Meiji government succeded in taking the Tokugawa castle without battle.... my history of Japan is improving eh?!

A 5-storey pagoda. It was surrounded by water with swans and ducks.

The face of buddha. There were many people surrounding the monument praying.

My lovely polar bear!!! Isn't he cute?!

A tomb for the sumurai.

Meiji Shrine

I've been visiting many temples, not because I've converted my religion but because they're so pretty and theres so many of them...

Torri gate at the entrance to Meiji-Jingu Shrine.

A japanese plaque... not sure what it says though, makes a good picture?

The entrance to the shrine... packed with tourists, although it was mainly Japanese who were praying.

A Japanese wedding.... like a tourist, I couldn't resist taking a few pics...

Imperial Palace

Although most of the grounds were closed off, it still offered scenic buildings for me to explore and take pictures, as well as some greenery.

The trees blossomed with pink! Can't wait till spring time, apparantly they have parties under the cherry blossom trees...

It was such a nice sunny day, pitty there was no white wine!
